Google Lit Trip

I think that the Google Lit Trip, along with many other websites like this can and should be integrated into the classrooms to help enhance course content and facilitate learning. With all the new technology out there, I think that it is important to take advantage of it and bring it into the classroom. Most students already have such a strong interest in technology, that I can only see this further enhancing and broadening the lesson at hand. As the article explained, the students were able to use the technology out there and really learn more about what they were studying, that they became really invested in it and were inspired to start helping out on their own. It is also important to introduce students to what is available out there and let them explore it and see where it takes them, especially with this ever growing technologically based world. In my classroom, we have used the internet to look at various literature that we had been studying in class. We are reading the Gingerbread Boy now, and have let the students use the internet to explore all the various versions of the same story that are out there. From here we are able to have discussions about which versions are our favorite and why. We have also used it to examine the similarities and differences between the different texts.
