High Tech Reflection Strategies

While reading this article i was struck by the fact that this teacher began teaching his students to use blogs as soon as he began teaching them in order to encourage reflection. The idea that middle school students could be responsibly involve in their learning using computer indicates that this teacher not only provided a way for his students to learn and reflect on lesson i think that student have to be encouraged to be confident in their own abilities. Blogging was especially helpful for those students who did not see themselves as writer however blogging is only one more way to think about how we learn. When ever I have been given an assignment to reflect on my learning I, like some of the students mentioned in the article was not happy, because reflecting by writing papers did not always express what I felt about a class or a lesson. Doing an audio or blogging about it would have helped me in many ways. These day the number of tools available to teacher and students is really all about differentiating learning and knowing that the option to blog, make and audio a video will be crucial for students although all the options are not right for everyone.
